General Pilot Information

The base of off-field operations for the Mesilla Valley Balloon Rally has changed from previous years. We are now located at the Best Western Mission Inn, located at 1765 S. Main, Las Cruces, 88005. This is the location at which the Friday night Pilot Registration, Friday night Pilot Briefings, and the Friday night Sponsor/Pilot Social will be held.

As this venue is smaller than the hotel previously used, we are housing 30-35 of pilot/crew at the Best Western Mission Inn location, and the remainder of pilots/crew at the La Quinta located at 790 Avenida de Las Cruces (directly across the street from our old hotel location).

Pilots for the Mesilla Valley Balloon Rally are accepted based on past participation. Pilots who have been requested by a  paid Individual Sponsor are given first priority. If you are a hot air balloon pilot, and wish to be added to the MVBR Pilot list, please contact the Pilot Coordinator.
