Mesilla Valley Balloon Rally

Dear Pilot,
You are cordially invited to
participate in the 19 th
Annual MESILLA VALLEY BALLOON RALLY
which will be held January 14-15, 2012
in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
GOOD NEWS! We are now excited to have
this event back in the hands of the MVBR
board and ready to put the balloons back
in the air.
We will be making some changes:
beginning with confirming around 40
pilots, and making changes to the pilot
packs. As of now, pilots will get a
hotel room and propane. This may change
as we see how the sponsorship comes in.
The registration fee for the rally is
$75.00 per pilot. The social events will
require tickets to attend, which are
included in the pilot fee. Pilots will
receive six tickets for each social
event, one for himself/herself and five
for crew. Flying events include Saturday
and Sunday morning launches with an
optional Saturday afternoon launch and a
Saturday evening glow
One guest-room will be provided to
each entrant for Friday and Saturday
night at the Hampton
Inn, 755 Avenida De Mesilla. I have
blocked 5 smoking rooms and 35
non-smoking rooms. They are all going to
be double bed rooms. Crew rooms will be
$55.00 per night plus tax. Crew will
need to ask for the crew rate. .Local
pilots will not be provided a
room.
If you are interested in sponsoring
yourself, please enclose your pilot
registration fee of $75.00 and the
sponsorship fee of $500.00 for a private
balloon, corporate balloon is $700.00.
This option guarantees you a
confirmation in the rally.
Application will be accepted on
"Sponsors Request first" then on a
"first come – first serve" basis.
Deadline for registration is November 1,
2011. If you have a sponsor, please
encourage them to submit their
sponsorship form as soon as possible. If
you need a sponsorship form, let me
know.
We hope that you will hang in there
with us until we can get this rally back
on track and we look forward to another
wonderful rally in 2012. If I can help
